The Israeli-American KoachYA's Football Scholarship Fund

Mission:

The mission of the Israeli-American KoachYA's Football Scholarship Fund is to support talented and dedicated Israeli-American football players in their respective colleges. We strive to lessen the financial burden of education and encourage the pursuit of football at a higher level.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Have Israeli citizenship and have resided in Israel for at least two years.

  2. Have served at least 90% of their military service (health exemptions are an exception)

  3. Have participated in high school football (IHFL), adult league (IFL), and the national team (U19 and/or IFL). Having coaching experience in the AFI leagues will increase your standing.

  4. Possess the skills to play at a Division II or higher football team.

  5. Maintain a GPA above 3.0 cumulatively.

  6. Have a qualifying SAT to enter Schools.

  7. Have a full high school diploma.

  8. Be fluent in English (spoken and written).

Application Process:

Applicants must:

  1. Submit an application form with personal information and athletic history.

  2. Provide a video presentation and a written document explaining why they should be selected for the scholarship.

  3. Provide two letters of recommendation, ideally from coaches or teachers.

  4. Submit proof of military service, Israeli residency, high school diploma, SAT scores, and GPA.

  5. Include any other accolades or achievements that may set them apart from other candidates.

Selection Process:

All applications will be reviewed by the KoachYA's Scholarship Selection Committee. Priority will be given to candidates who have coaching experience in the AFI leagues. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview.

Recipient Obligations:

Scholarship recipients are required to:

  1. Dedicate 20 hours per month to support the football league in Israel. This can be achieved through Q&A sessions, teaching, creating content, podcast, etc.

  2. Maintain enrollment in their college and participation in the football team. If a recipient quits or parts ways from their respective football teams, they will need to repay the portion of the scholarship used.

  3. Agree to a repayment percentage from future earnings, as agreed upon at the time of award acceptance in case of withdrawing from school and/or program.
